Mihailo Stevanovic

Mihailo Stevanovic is a Swiss midfielder born in Liestal on January 4, 2002. He developed in the academies of FC Basel 1893 and FC Luzern, then moved to FC St. Gallen in July 2023. At Basel, Stevanovic signed his first professional contract in January 2020 and made his senior debut later that year in a goalless draw with Luzern. His 2023–24 campaign at St. Gallen brought regular league involvement, with four goals in 31 appearances. Internationally, he represented Switzerland at under-17 level before switching allegiance to Serbia in October 2023, subsequently appearing for the Serbian under-21 side. At 1.86 metres, Stevanovic combines physical strength with midfield coverage and aerial work. He has operated as a holding midfielder, ball-winner or deeper playmaker, while also timing forward runs into the box.
