Michal Škvarka
Michal Škvarka is a Slovak attacking midfielder born in Martin on 19 August 1992. He began playing youth football with Príbovce and Fomat Martin before joining the Žilina academy in 2006. After a 2011 loan at Zemplín Michalovce, Škvarka established himself in Žilina’s first team and later captained the club. His creative peak came in the 2016–17 title-winning campaign, when he contributed 14 league goals and 12 assists in 31 appearances. In 2019 he moved to Ferencváros, winning Hungarian league titles in 2020 and 2021. Škvarka later played for Wisła Kraków, APO Levadiakos and ETO FC Győr. He represented Slovakia twice in 2017, appearing in friendlies against Uganda and Sweden, and returned to Žilina II in 2026.
