Marcos Nicolás Senesi Barón

Marcos Nicolás Senesi Barón is an Argentine centre-back born in Concordia on 10 May 1997. He joined San Lorenzo’s academy in 2009, progressed through the youth system and made his senior debut in late 2016. Senesi established himself in Argentina and represented the country at under-20 level, including the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup. In September 2019, he moved to Feyenoord, where his left-sided defending and contribution to build-up play helped him become an important player and part of the team that reached the 2022 UEFA Europa Conference League final. He joined Bournemouth in August 2022 and continued his career in the Premier League as a progressive centre-back trusted to pass forward from defence. Senesi chose Argentina over Italy at senior international level, debuting against Estonia in June 2022, and has since remained part of Argentina’s senior setup.
