Mamadou Sarr

Mamadou Sarr is a French defender born in Martigues on 29 August 2005. He developed at Étoile Sportive de Saint-Laurent-Blangy and RC Lens before joining Lyon’s academy in 2018. At Lyon, Sarr became a regular for the under-19 side and helped win the 2022 Coupe Gambardella. He made his senior debut for Lyon against Reims in May 2023, then moved to RWD Molenbeek on loan during the second half of the 2023–24 season. Strasbourg subsequently provided his next senior platform, where his 1.94-metre frame supported his work at centre-back and in possession. Sarr later joined Chelsea, while Strasbourg II and Chelsea appear in his current club references. Internationally, he has represented France at youth level, including the under-20s.
