Malang Mamadou William Georges Sarr

Malang Mamadou William Georges Sarr is a French centre-back born in Nice on 23 January 1999. He developed in OGC Nice’s academy and made his senior debut for the club as a teenager in 2016, scoring against Rennes on his Ligue 1 debut. Sarr helped Nice finish third in his first professional season, establishing himself in senior football. In 2020, he joined Chelsea on a free transfer and spent the 2020–21 campaign on loan at FC Porto, gaining Champions League experience. He returned to Chelsea in 2021–22, making 21 appearances across competitions and belonging to the squad that won the FIFA Club World Cup. A 2022–23 loan to Monaco was disrupted by injury, while a subsequent spell away from Chelsea preceded his 2024 move to Lens. Sarr has represented France from under-16 to under-21 level and is currently registered with NEOM.
