Marcelo Josemir Saracchi Pintos

Marcelo Josemir Saracchi Pintos is a Uruguayan left-back born in Paysandú on April 23, 1998. He began playing with Progreso de Paysandú before joining Danubio’s youth system in 2012. Saracchi reached Danubio’s first team in 2015, making his senior debut in the Copa Sudamericana and developing into a regular. In 2017, he moved to River Plate, where his pace and overlapping runs from the left flank supported a successful spell. He won the Copa Argentina in 2017 and the Supercopa Argentina in 2017–18, adding defensive work to his attacking contribution. Saracchi then transferred to RB Leipzig in 2018, later spending time on loan at Galatasaray before moving to Levante in Spain. Across these leagues, Marcelo Saracchi has combined acceleration, recovery work and crossing with the versatility to operate as a left midfielder when required.
