Morgan Stéphane Sanson

Morgan Stéphane Sanson is a French midfielder born in Saint-Doulchard on 18 August 1994. He developed at Le Mans and made his senior debut in 2012, scoring his first professional goal against Monaco later that year. Montpellier signed Sanson in 2013, and he became a prominent Ligue 1 midfielder, combining tackling with forward movement and creative distribution. In January 2017, he moved to Marseille, where he produced 14 assists in the 2017–18 campaign and helped the club reach the 2018 UEFA Europa League final. Aston Villa signed Sanson in January 2021, and he made 23 appearances during a two-year spell in England. He returned to France with a loan at Strasbourg in 2023 before joining Nice, initially on loan and permanently from 2024. At Nice, Sanson offers energy, pressing and positional flexibility across central midfield.
