Mamadou Samassa
Mamadou Samassa is a Mali international goalkeeper who anchors Stade Lavallois’ goal with proactive distribution. He began his pro career with En Avant Guingamp, rising to Ligue 1 between 2008 and 2011. Samassa steps out from the back. A turning point arrived as he became a regular at ES Troyes AC from 2016 to 2019. He then moved to Sivasspor, featuring in 51 matches in the Turkish top flight from 2019 to 2021. In 2023 he returned to France with Stade Lavallois and became the first-choice keeper for the 2025/26 season. Samassa’s style blends sweeper-keeper traits, with outside-the-box distribution and calm ball handling to recycle possession. For Mali, he provides experienced leadership between the posts during international matches.
