Matěj Ryneš

Matěj Ryneš is a Czech midfielder who plays for Sparta Praha. Born on 30 May 2001, he developed in South Bohemia with TJ Smrčina Horní Planá, FK Slavoj Český Krumlov and SK Dynamo České Budějovice before joining Sparta in 2017. He continued his development with Sparta B, making 30 appearances and scoring four goals in the Czech second division between 2020 and 2022. Ryneš then spent the 2022–23 season on loan at FC Hradec Králové, where he recorded three goals and three assists in 25 league matches. Returning to Sparta for 2023–24, he helped the club win the Czech First League and Czech Cup. Used on the left as a midfielder or wing-back, Ryneš combines ball progression with defensive work and positional versatility. He represented the Czech Republic at youth level, including the under-20s, and made his senior debut in 2024.
