Matijus Remeikis

Matijus Remeikis is a Lithuanian midfielder who developed at Panevėžys and began appearing for the club’s B team in 2020. He was part of Panevėžys squads that won the Lithuanian Cup in 2020 and the Lithuanian Super Cup in 2021. In 2023, Remeikis established himself in the senior side, making 35 appearances as Panevėžys won the A Lyga title. His performances earned a move to Bulgaria in February 2024, when he joined Botev Plovdiv and also featured for Botev Plovdiv II. Remeikis later returned to Lithuania with Hegelmann, continuing his development in domestic competition. Internationally, he progressed through Lithuania’s under-17, under-19 and under-21 teams before joining the senior national setup. As a central midfielder, Remeikis has been used in defensive and box-to-box roles, contributing to buildup, midfield coverage and the recovery of possession.
