Mathias Knutsen Rasmussen
Mathias Knutsen Rasmussen is a Norwegian central midfielder born in Kristiansand on 25 November 1997. He developed with Lyngdal IL before joining IK Start in 2014, where he made 33 appearances during his senior breakthrough. In July 2016, Rasmussen moved to Denmark to join FC Nordsjælland, adding experience in a youth-focused environment and playing in several midfield roles. He returned to Norway with SK Brann in October 2020 and became a key figure during the club’s 2022 promotion campaign, scoring 15 goals and supplying 10 assists in 28 matches. Rasmussen was named the Norwegian First Division’s Player of the Year and helped Brann win the 2022/23 Norwegian Cup. In June 2023, he transferred to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, making 36 Pro League appearances in 2023/24 and featuring in European competition. He joined FC St. Pauli in January 2026, continuing his career as a versatile midfielder.
