Matvii Ponomarenko
Matvii Ponomarenko attacks space with quick bursts and late runs, stretching defenses as a central forward for Dynamo Kyiv. A Dynamo Kyiv academy product, Matvii Ponomarenko made his senior Dynamo Kyiv debut on 3 November 2023 against Shakhtar Donetsk. He burst onto the scene early. He finished as top scorer in the 2023/24 Ukrainian U19 League with 24 goals in 28 matches. He also led the attack in the 2024/25 UEFA Youth League with 8 goals. A turning point came with signing a long-term contract with Dynamo Kyiv in May 2025, after representing Ukraine at youth levels including the U20 World Cup. Matvii Ponomarenko brings pace, aerial power, and strong off-the-ball movement to press high and link play in the final third. He can finish moves and gets shots off quickly.
