Marin Pongračić

Marin Pongračić is a Croatian centre-back born in Landshut, Germany, on 11 September 1997. He developed with SpVgg Landshut and Bayern Munich before continuing through FC Ingolstadt 04 and 1860 Munich, making his 2. Bundesliga debut in April 2017. Later that year, Pongračić joined Red Bull Salzburg, where he gained European experience and won three Austrian league titles. In January 2020, he moved to VfL Wolfsburg, then spent time on loan at Borussia Dortmund. A 2022 loan to Lecce gave Marin Pongračić an important Serie A opportunity, and Lecce subsequently made the move permanent. Fiorentina signed him in July 2024, extending his Italian career. Standing 1.90 metres tall, he offers central defensive presence and build-up quality, while his international path with Croatia began in 2020 and included selection for UEFA Euro 2024.
