Matthias Jean Phaëton

Matthias Jean Phaëton is a forward who plays primarily on the left wing. Born in Colombes, France, on 8 January 2000, he developed in the Paris region before joining the Brest academy and later moving to Guingamp. After leaving Brest, Phaëton entered Guingamp’s professional setup and made his senior debut in a Ligue 1 defeat by Nantes in November 2018. He subsequently spent time with Bastia-Borgo on loan, seeking regular first-team minutes. Phaëton established himself as an attacking threat during the 2022–23 campaign with Grenoble, where his direct running and finishing attracted attention. Although he represented France at youth level, he later committed to Guadeloupe and became involved with its senior national team. Standing 1.85 metres tall, Phaëton offers a powerful wide option who can attack space, cut inside and contribute from the left. He is currently listed with Home United.
