Martin Krasimirov Paskalev

Martin Krasimirov Paskalev is a Bulgarian defender born on 25 December 2001. He developed in the AFC Haskovo 1957 youth system before moving into senior football with Sozopol. That experience in Bulgaria’s lower tiers preceded his 2021 transfer to Lokomotiv Plovdiv. At Lokomotiv, Paskalev progressed from a rotation option into a regular member of the defensive unit, with his role expanding by the 2022/23 season. His game is built around physical defending, aerial challenges and the anticipation needed to cut out attacks. He also contributes to build-up play through short and vertical passes, while his positioning allows him to defend in both a back four and a back three.
