Marshall Nyasha Munetsi

Marshall Nyasha Munetsi is a Zimbabwean central midfielder born in Bulawayo on 22 June 1996. He developed in Zimbabwe with Friendly Academy and Blue Rangers before moving to South Africa in 2015 to join Ubuntu Cape Town, then known as FC Cape Town. A loan spell at Baroka gave Munetsi top-flight experience, and he joined Orlando Pirates in 2017. At Orlando Pirates, he operated in midfield and was also used as a ball-playing centre-back, highlighting his positional versatility. Munetsi moved to Stade de Reims in 2019, where his athletic running, defensive work and ability to cover ground became important features of his game; he was also involved in a notable win over Paris Saint-Germain. A Zimbabwe international, Munetsi later continued his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he has been used in a more advanced midfield role. His 188cm frame supports his pressing, aerial contests and ball-carrying through midfield.
