Mason Tony Mount

Mason Tony Mount is an English attacking midfielder who was born in Portsmouth on 10 January 1999. He developed locally with Boarhunt Rovers and United Services Portsmouth before joining Chelsea’s academy in 2005 at age six. After progressing through Chelsea’s youth system, Mount spent the 2017–18 season with Vitesse in the Netherlands, where he became an important attacking player. He then joined Derby County for 2018–19, working under Frank Lampard as the club reached the Championship play-off final. Mount returned to Chelsea in 2019 and established himself in the first team during the club’s transfer ban. In the 2021 Champions League final, he supplied the through-ball for Kai Havertz’s winning goal against Manchester City. He also won Chelsea’s Player of the Year award in 2020–21 and 2021–22, while representing England at international level. Mount moved to Manchester United in 2023, where his versatility and pressing have continued to shape his midfield role.
