Maximilian Mittelstädt

Maximilian Mittelstädt is a German left-back born in Berlin on 18 March 1997. He began at SC Staaken, moved to FC Hertha 03 Zehlendorf, and joined Hertha BSC’s academy in 2012. With Hertha, he won the 2014/15 DFB Junioren Pokal and received the Fritz Walter Bronze Medal in 2016. Mittelstädt made his professional debut for Hertha in March 2016 and went on to record 157 competitive appearances for the club. After Hertha’s relegation in 2023, he moved to VfB Stuttgart in June that year. His performances in Stuttgart’s 2023/24 league campaign helped the club qualify for the UEFA Champions League, while his left-footed crossing and ability to contribute in advanced areas broadened his role. Mittelstädt made his Germany debut against France in March 2024, scored against the Netherlands days later, represented Germany at UEFA Euro 2024, and later won the 2024/25 DFB-Pokal with Stuttgart.
