Marius Mihai Marin

Marius Mihai Marin is a Romanian central midfielder born in Timişoara on 30 August 1998. He developed in his hometown with ACS Poli Timişoara and ASU Politehnica Timişoara, making his professional debut for ACS Poli in 2015. In 2016, Marin moved to Sassuolo, where he continued his development in the club’s youth system without making a senior appearance. He gained senior experience on loan at Catanzaro in 2017–18, making 28 appearances in Serie C. The following season, he joined Pisa on loan, helping the club win promotion to Serie B before completing a permanent move in July 2019. At Pisa, Marin became a regular central or defensive midfielder and reached 100 Serie B appearances in August 2022. Internationally, he captained Romania’s under-21 and Olympic sides, debuted for the senior team in 2021, and started all four of Romania’s Euro 2024 matches.
