Matúš Macík
Matúš Macík is a Slovak goalkeeper born on 19 May 1993 in Liptovský Mikuláš. Standing 198 centimetres tall, he began his football development in his hometown before joining MFK Ružomberok. Macík established himself with Ružomberok between 2015 and 2020, becoming a regular in the Slovak top flight. In early 2021, he moved to Czech club Sigma Olomouc, where he continued his career in the First League. During his Olomouc spell, he helped the club win the Tipsport Malta Cup in 2022. His role there also included modern goalkeeping duties such as distributing from the back and operating beyond the six-yard box. In January 2025, Macík returned to Slovakia by joining Slovan Bratislava, with his squad involvement also linked to Slovan Bratislava II.
