Mehdi Pascal Marcel Léris

Mehdi Pascal Marcel Léris is an Algerian midfielder, born in Mont-de-Marsan, France, on 23 May 1998. He developed with Stade Montois before moving to Italy at 15 to join Chievo’s academy, and he later spent time with Juventus Under-19s. Léris made his senior debut for Chievo in 2017 before joining Sampdoria in 2019. During a 2021–22 loan at Brescia, he made 36 appearances and supplied five assists, operating in a more advanced wide role. He returned to Sampdoria for the 2022–23 season, making 35 appearances during their relegation campaign. In August 2023, Léris moved to Stoke City, where he recorded two goals and two assists in 30 Championship matches, then returned to Italy with Pisa in August 2024. Right-footed and 1.86 metres tall, he can play wide or drop into wing-back and defensive roles, combining physicality with crossing and defensive work; he has also represented Algeria.
