Mads Larsen

Mads Larsen is a Danish midfielder who developed at Esbjerg fB before establishing himself in senior football. He signed his first youth contract on his 15th birthday and moved directly from the under-17 side into the first-team environment, bypassing Esbjerg’s under-19 level. On 19 November 2017, aged 16, Larsen made his senior debut against Brabrand and became the club’s youngest debutant. In August 2018, he also became Esbjerg’s youngest player to appear in the Danish top flight when he came on against Brøndby IF. Larsen later captained Esbjerg at 19, showing leadership during a difficult period for the club. In January 2024, he joined Silkeborg IF on a contract running through 2027. At Silkeborg, Mads Larsen operates centrally, combining secure passing with disciplined defensive positioning and support for possession-based build-up.
