Maxence Guy Lacroix
Maxence Guy Lacroix is a French centre-back born in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges on 6 April 2000. He developed at Sochaux, where he moved through several positions before settling in central defence and making his professional breakthrough. After establishing himself in Ligue 2, Lacroix joined VfL Wolfsburg in 2020. In Germany, he became a regular Bundesliga defender, using his recovery speed, 1.90-metre frame and anticipation to defend space and challenge forwards. His performances also brought Champions League experience during four seasons with Wolfsburg. In 2024, Lacroix moved to Crystal Palace and reunited with manager Oliver Glasner. He played every minute of Palace’s 2025 FA Cup triumph, before being listed in Chelsea’s squad in the latest records.
