Mathías Nicolás Laborda Malseñido

Mathías Nicolás Laborda Malseñido is a Uruguayan right-back from Fray Bentos. He developed at Club Nacional, where he helped the under-20 side win the 2018 Copa Libertadores. Laborda made his senior debut for Nacional in a Copa Libertadores match against Cerro Porteño in May 2019, then scored on his league debut two months later. During his Nacional career, he won the Uruguayan Primera División in 2019, 2020 and 2022, as well as the 2021 Supercopa. He moved to Vancouver Whitecaps in January 2023 and added Canadian Championship titles in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Although registered as a right-back, Laborda has also been used across the back line, including at centre-back and left-back. His game combines defensive work with passing quality and an aerial threat on set pieces.
