Mario Kvesić

Mario Kvesić is a Bosnia-Herzegovina midfielder born in Mostar on 12 January 1992. He developed at NK Široki Brijeg and made his senior debut there before moving to Croatia’s RNK Split in 2012, where he spent three seasons. In 2015, Kvesić joined German club Erzgebirge Aue, adapting his creative game to the demands of central midfield and helping the side win promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. He also had a spell with 1. FC Magdeburg before moving to South Korea’s Pohang Steelers in 2021. After returning to Europe, Kvesić joined Olimpija Ljubljana and played a part in their 2022/23 Prva Liga and Slovenia Cup double. He moved to Celje in July 2023 and remains registered with the Slovenian club. Kvesić offers positional versatility, combining advanced playmaking with passing from deeper areas and set-piece delivery.
