Maksim Kovel
Maksim Kovel is a Belarusian defender, born in Minsk on January 12, 1999, and standing 1.83 metres tall. He developed in the BATE Borisov system before gaining senior experience with Sputnik Rechitsa in 2019. During 2020, Kovel also spent time with Arsenal Dzerzhinsk and Smolevichi, continuing his progression through loan football. In February 2021, he joined FC Isloch Minsk Raion permanently and established himself primarily as a centre-back, while also covering right-back and defensive midfield. Across three seasons with Isloch, he made 49 appearances and scored twice. Kovel moved abroad in February 2025 to join Kazakhstan Premier League side Zhetysu Taldykorgan, recording 19 appearances and two goals. He returned to Belarus in February 2026 with Dinamo Brest, adding experience from two national leagues to the club’s defensive options.
