Mirko Kos

Mirko Kos is an Austrian goalkeeper born in Mürzzuschlag on 12 April 1997. He began playing with ESV Mürzzuschlag in 2003, developed at Kapfenberger SV, and joined the Austria Vienna academy in 2012. Kos progressed to the club’s Young Violets reserves in 2016 and signed his first professional contract a year later. He played a major role in their promotion to Austria’s second division during the 2017–18 season. Kos made his Bundesliga debut for the senior side in a 1–0 victory over Mattersburg on 7 April 2020. Primarily a deputy, he has provided depth for Austria Vienna while gaining recent competitive opportunities in the ÖFB Cup. He completed his Matura at Wiener Ballsportgymnasium and has been repeatedly retained by the club, most recently through June 2026.
