Mory Konaté
Mory Konaté is a Guinean midfielder born in Conakry on 15 November 1993. He began organized football in Germany with VfL Alfter in 2014, taking an unconventional route into the game. In 2017, Konaté joined Borussia Dortmund II, gaining experience in the Regionalliga West before moving to Belgium. He signed for Sint-Truiden in August 2019 and made his professional debut against Eupen in February 2020, scoring in a 5–2 victory. After four years at Sint-Truiden, he moved to KV Mechelen in July 2023. The 191-centimetre player can operate as a defensive midfielder or centre-back, using his height and strength in duels and defensive actions. Konaté has represented Guinea and was involved in the 2021 and 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournaments. He is currently listed with Al-Hazm.
