Mateusz Kochalski

Mateusz Kochalski is a Polish goalkeeper born in Świdnik on 25 July 2000. He began with BKS Lublin before entering the Legia Warszawa academy, where he played in the 2017–18 UEFA Youth League. He spent seven years in Legia’s system without making a senior Ekstraklasa appearance, then developed through loan spells at Radomiak Radom. With Radomiak, Kochalski helped secure two promotions, including the 2020–21 I Liga title, while recording 20 clean sheets. Kochalski joined Stal Mielec permanently in June 2022, initially serving as a backup before becoming a standout in 2023–24. He led the Ekstraklasa with 111 saves, kept nine clean sheets in 33 appearances and was named the league’s goalkeeper of the season. That form brought his first senior Poland call-up in June 2024, and he joined Qarabag in August that year. At Qarabag, Mateusz Kochalski continues to combine shot-stopping with the distribution and sweeper actions expected of a modern goalkeeper.
