Michael Vincent Keane

Michael Vincent Keane is an English centre-back born in Stockport on 11 January 1993. He developed at Manchester United after joining the academy with his twin brother, Will, and helped the club win the FA Youth Cup in 2011. Initially a right-back, Keane moved into central defence and was named Manchester United’s Denzil Haroun Reserve Player of the Year in 2012. He gained senior experience on loan at Leicester City, Derby County and Blackburn Rovers before joining Burnley, initially on loan in 2014 and permanently in January 2015. At Burnley, he became a regular in Sean Dyche’s organised defence and helped the club win the 2015–16 Championship title. His performances earned Keane an England debut in March 2017. Everton signed him in July 2017, where his 191cm frame, aerial strength and composed defending have supported a long Premier League career.
