Marco Kana

Marco Kana is a Belgian defender born in Kinshasa on 8 August 2002. His family moved to Brussels when he was four, and he joined Anderlecht’s Neerpede academy at seven, progressing through the club’s youth system. Kana made his Anderlecht first-team debut in 2019 at 17, playing alongside player-manager Vincent Kompany. Later that year, he scored against Sint-Truiden and became the seventh-youngest goalscorer in the club’s history. Initially developed as a defensive midfielder, Kana has increasingly operated as a centre-back, where his positioning, composure and passing support Anderlecht’s build-up play. He spent the 2023–24 season on loan at Kortrijk before returning to Anderlecht, continuing a career shaped by versatility and efforts to establish regular first-team involvement.
