Mehdi Jeannin

Mehdi Jeannin is a French-born Algerian goalkeeper from Besançon, standing 1.87 metres tall. He began his youth development with AS Franois Serre-les-Sapins before joining Racing Besançon in 2003, where he spent seven formative years. In 2011, Jeannin moved to Clermont Foot 63 and initially worked as a reserve goalkeeper while waiting for his opportunity in professional football. His Ligue 2 debut came against Brest in 2014, a difficult introduction in a 2–0 defeat. From 2015 to 2019, he became a more regular presence for Clermont, building his reputation through consistent goalkeeping in France’s second tier. Jeannin returned to the Doubs region with Sochaux in 2020, adding local continuity to a career shaped by patience and progression. At Sochaux, his experience has supported a broader role involving distribution and defensive positioning, while his Algerian nationality gives his career an international dimension.
