Merwan Ifnaoui

Merwan Ifnaoui is a French midfielder who developed through youth football in La Garenne-Colombes, Asnières and Red Star FC. He later returned to Gennevilliers, where he captained the under-19 side during the 2018–19 season. Ifnaoui briefly continued his career with Lagoa in Portugal’s Azores before returning to France and joining Racing Club de France in 2020. His performances there earned a move to Red Star during the 2022–23 campaign. At Red Star, Merwan Ifnaoui became a key contributor during the club’s promotion push and was named the Championnat National’s best player for 2023–24 by the French Football Federation. He subsequently stepped up to Ligue 2 with Estac Troyes, taking the number 10 shirt. A left-footed creator, he can operate centrally or from the right, using progressive passing and movement to support attacks.
