Matúš Hruška

Matúš Hruška is a Slovak goalkeeper born in Žilina on 17 September 1994. He developed in the youth systems of MŠK Púchov and FK Senica before entering senior football with Spartak Myjava. Hruška then moved to Dukla Prague in 2017, although opportunities were intermittent. In 2020, he returned to Slovakia with Dukla Banská Bystrica, where a clean-sheet debut against MŠK Púchov helped establish him as the first-choice goalkeeper. After four seasons in Banská Bystrica, he went back to Dukla Prague for the 2024–25 campaign and featured regularly. He subsequently joined Sigma Olomouc, adding experience to the Czech club’s goalkeeping group. As a shot-stopper, Hruška is trusted in close-range situations and uses long distribution to support buildup play, while his proactive positioning can help deal with through-balls and crosses.
