Martin Hongla Yma II

Martin Hongla Yma II is a Cameroonian defensive midfielder born in Yaoundé on 16 March 1998. He developed at Nkufo Sports Academy before moving to Granada CF in 2016, initially joining the reserve side and later making his senior and La Liga debuts. In January 2018, Hongla joined Barcelona B on loan, then continued his development with Karpaty Lviv in Ukraine. He moved to Royal Antwerp, where he became a regular and helped the club win the 2019–20 Belgian Cup. In 2021, he transferred to Hellas Verona, operating as both a holding midfielder and a centre-back. Hongla later spent time with Real Valladolid and returned to Granada before joining Aris Thessalonikis. He made his senior Cameroon debut in 2020, featured at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and played at the 2022 World Cup.
