Malthe Højholt

Malthe Højholt is a Danish midfielder who was born in Hjørring on April 16, 2001. He began playing with Hjørring IF before joining the AaB academy at under-13 level. At AaB, he progressed through the youth ranks and became an important member of the under-19 side by 2020. Højholt made his senior debut for AaB against FC Nordsjælland in the Danish Superliga on June 20, 2020. He developed into a regular central midfielder, combining positional discipline with defensive work and secure distribution. He remained with AaB through their spell in Denmark’s second tier and helped the club return to the Superliga in 2023–24. In August 2024, Højholt moved to Pisa Sporting Club in Italy, where he continued his development as a deeper midfielder during their 2024–25 Serie B promotion campaign.
