Morten Blom Due Hjulmand
Morten Blom Due Hjulmand is a Danish defensive midfielder born in Kastrup on 25 June 1999. He developed in Denmark with Korinth IF and AB Tårnby before joining FC Copenhagen’s academy, although he did not make a competitive senior appearance there. In 2018, Hjulmand moved to Austria’s Admira Wacker, where he made his professional debut and established himself as a regular midfielder. He joined Italian club Lecce in 2021 and helped the team win the Serie B title and promotion in 2022. In 2023, he transferred to Sporting CP, adapting to the club’s midfield and helping it win the 2023–24 Primeira Liga. Hjulmand made his Denmark senior debut in September 2023 and represented the nation at UEFA Euro 2024. His long-range goal against England highlighted his international breakthrough.
