Marcelo Andrés Herrera Mansilla Barrios

Marcelo Andrés Herrera Mansilla Barrios is an Argentine right-back born in Corrientes on 3 November 1998. He developed through youth football in his home province before joining San Lorenzo, where he made his senior debut against Patronato in September 2018. At San Lorenzo, Marcelo Herrera grew into an attacking full-back who could advance from deep and support play in the final third. He moved to River Plate in February 2022, taking on competition and pressure at one of Argentina’s leading clubs. With River, he was part of the teams that won the 2023 Primera División, Supercopa Argentina and Trofeo de Campeones. In August 2024, Herrera joined Columbus Crew on loan and continued his career in Major League Soccer. Internationally, he represented Argentina at under-23 level, helping win gold at the 2019 Pan American Games, and also played at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
