Addji Keaninkin Marc-Israel Guéhi

Addji Keaninkin Marc-Israel Guéhi is an English centre-back born in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, who moved to London as a child. He began playing with Cray Wanderers at six before joining Chelsea’s academy at eight, where he developed into a central defender and helped the under-18 side win a quadruple in 2018. Guéhi made his senior breakthrough during an 18-month loan with Swansea City from 2020 to 2021, gaining experience in the Championship. In 2021, he transferred to Crystal Palace, establishing himself as a composed Premier League defender and later becoming the club’s captain. He helped Palace win the FA Cup in 2025, their first major trophy. Guéhi represented England at Euro 2024, partnering John Stones during the tournament. In January 2026, he joined Manchester City, bringing anticipation, measured tackling and confident distribution to a high-level defence.
