Mathieu Gorgelin
Mathieu Gorgelin is a French goalkeeper born in Ambérieu-en-Bugey on 5 August 1990. He began playing with Ambérieu FC and Saint-Denis-en-Bugey Ambutrix FC before joining the Olympique Lyonnais academy in 2002. After eight years in Lyon’s youth system, Gorgelin signed his first professional contract in 2010 and spent the 2011–12 season on loan at Red Star, gaining senior experience. He made his Ligue 1 debut for Lyon on 2 November 2013, entering after 32 minutes for the injured Anthony Lopes and helping secure a 2–0 win over Guingamp. Primarily a deputy at Lyon, he featured in domestic cup campaigns, belonged to squads involved in three Champions League seasons, and was part of the 2012–13 Trophée des Champions-winning squad. Gorgelin joined Le Havre in June 2019 and helped the club win the 2022–23 Ligue 2 title. In January 2026, he moved to Lens, bringing extensive top-flight experience to another senior squad.
