Matteo Godfroid

Matteo Godfroid is a Belgian goalkeeper born on 25 February 2004. Standing 1.90 metres tall, he developed in the Standard Liège academy and has continued his progression within the club’s senior structure. Godfroid is registered with Standard Liège II, the club’s developmental side, where he has gained experience in the 1ste Nationale ACFF. During the 2025/26 campaign, he made 11 appearances and played 990 minutes for the U23 team. He entered the senior Standard Liège squad in July 2024, marking a further step toward first-team football at Sclessin. At international level, Godfroid represented Belgium Under-18s in 2021, earning one appearance in a friendly. His career remains focused on turning academy development and reserve-team experience into a sustained senior role.
