Mijat Gaćinović

Mijat Gaćinović is a Serbian attacking midfielder born in Novi Sad on 8 February 1995. He developed with FK Leotar and FK Vojvodina, making his senior debut for Vojvodina in March 2013. With Vojvodina, he helped win the Serbian Cup in 2014 before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt in August 2015. In Germany, Gaćinović scored in the 2016 relegation play-off first leg against Nürnberg and assisted Frankfurt’s decisive goal in the return match. He also scored in Frankfurt’s 3–1 DFB-Pokal final victory over Bayern Munich in 2018. After joining Hoffenheim in 2020, he revived his career in Greece through a loan at Panathinaikos, winning the 2022 Greek Cup, before moving permanently to AEK Athens. Gaćinović contributed to AEK’s 2022–23 domestic double and has represented Serbia since his senior debut in 2017, including at UEFA Euro 2024.
