Manfred Fischer

Manfred Fischer is an Austrian attacking midfielder who developed through clubs in Styria. He began at Union Birkfeld before moving to SC Weiz and joining the Grazer AK academy in 2009. After GAK’s financial collapse disrupted his development, Fischer continued with DSV Leoben and later played for SC Kalsdorf in the Regionalliga Mitte. From 2015 to 2017, he represented SC Wiener Neustadt in Austria’s 2. Liga. Fischer then joined TSV Hartberg and helped the club secure promotion to the Bundesliga in 2017–18. He moved to SCR Altach in 2018, making his top-flight debut against SV Mattersburg and scoring against Red Bull Salzburg soon afterwards. Since joining Austria Vienna in 2021, Fischer has become a regular midfielder, contributing energy, defensive work and attacking runs while also taking on leadership responsibilities.
