Matías Fernández-Pardo bursts forward, attacking space and sprinting beyond the line to threaten the back post. Matías Fernández-Pardo made his professional Gent debut in March 2023 and scored his first pro goal for Gent in March 2024. He thrives in open spaces. A breakthrough season in 2023-24 saw seven goals in ten Pro League playoff matches before transferring to Lille in August 2024 for €10 million. In November 2024 he scored his first Ligue 1 goal for Lille in a draw with Nice. The forward is built on pace, dribbling, and progressive passing, routinely linking play with one-touch lay-offs. In February 2025 FIFA approved his switch international allegiance to Spain. At Lille he presses high, checks short then spins in behind, and finishes moves to punch Lille's counter attacks.
