Mikael Egill Ellertsson

Mikael Egill Ellertsson is an Icelandic forward whose career has developed through Italian football. He began his senior career with Spezia, making his professional debut in the Coppa Italia in August 2021. In January 2023, Ellertsson moved to Venezia, where regular football accelerated his progress. He helped Venezia reach the playoffs in his first half-season and contributed to their promotion to Serie A in 2023–24. Genoa secured his permanent transfer in January 2025 and loaned him back to Venezia for the remainder of that campaign. At Venezia, he was used across wide and central areas, combining forward movement with defensive work and link play. Ellertsson also represents Iceland internationally, adding senior national-team experience to a club path that has taken him from Spezia to Venezia and then Genoa.
