Mathias Lønne Dyngeland

Mathias Lønne Dyngeland is a Norwegian goalkeeper born in Totland on 7 October 1995. He developed at Fana IL before joining Sogndal in 2012, where he established himself in senior football and made more than 150 appearances through 2019. Dyngeland also helped Sogndal win the OBOS-ligaen in 2015 and represented Norway from under-17 through under-21 level. In 2020, he moved to Sweden with IF Elfsborg, but played only once in the league before spending 2021 on loan at Vålerenga, recording one clean sheet in three appearances. His career changed direction in January 2022, when he signed for Brann after the club’s relegation to the second tier. Dyngeland kept 17 clean sheets in 30 matches as Brann secured a record-breaking return to the top flight, then was part of the team that won the Norwegian Football Cup in 2022–23. His performances earned a Norway senior debut in 2023. At 1.87 metres, Mathias Dyngeland combines shot-stopping with distribution and proactive sweeper-keeper work.
