Mamadou Diop
Mamadou Diop is a Senegalese goalkeeper born in Guediawaye on 3 January 2000. Standing 2.04 metres tall, he began his senior career in France with Istres in the Championnat National 3 in 2019. He then joined Gueugnon, where he developed as a reserve goalkeeper in the fifth tier. In 2021, Diop moved to Chambly Thelle FC in the Championnat National, taking a step up the French pyramid. On 19 July 2022, he signed his first professional contract with Grenoble Foot 38, continuing his progression into the professional game. Born in Senegal, Mamadou Diop later chose to represent Mauritania and made his international debut against Egypt on 11 October 2024. His tall frame supports his work in the air, while his development has also included distribution and occasional sweeper-keeper actions.
