Matteo Emilio Di Giusto

Matteo Emilio Di Giusto is a Swiss midfielder born in Wetzikon on 18 August 2000. He developed at FC Wagen, FC Wettingen and FC Baden before joining FC Zurich’s academy in 2015. In 2018, he spent a season on loan with SC Freiburg’s under-19 side in Germany, then made his professional debut for Zurich during the 2019/20 season. Di Giusto moved to FC Vaduz in 2020 and recorded 60 appearances and 10 goals across two seasons. He joined FC Winterthur in July 2022, returning to the Swiss top flight and becoming an important creative player. His 2024/25 campaign brought eight goals and three assists, and he was nominated for the 2025 Swiss Super League Player of the Year award. In July 2025, Di Giusto signed for FC Luzern, where his attacking-midfield role is complemented by work as a winger or shadow striker.
