Maxime Jean-Yves Colin

Maxime Jean-Yves Colin is a French defender, born in Arras on 15 November 1991. He began his senior career with Boulogne, where he developed from an attacking player into a right-back. Colin then joined Estac Troyes, continuing his progression through French football and gaining experience in demanding league competition. In 2014, he moved to Anderlecht, making his European debut and reaching a cup final during a short spell in Belgium. He subsequently established himself in England, where his dependable performances made him a long-serving Birmingham City defender. Across six seasons at Birmingham, Colin made 253 appearances and became a popular figure at St Andrew’s. In July 2023, he returned to France with Metz, bringing experience of French, Belgian and English football to the squad.
