Moussa Cissé
Moussa Cissé is a French defender who operates primarily at left-back for FC Basel 1893. Born on 29 April 2003, he developed at Tremblay FC before joining Paris Saint-Germain’s youth system, where he progressed through the under-17 and under-19 levels. In August 2021, Cissé moved to Germany to continue his development with VfB Stuttgart. He helped Stuttgart’s under-19 side win the DFB Junioren Pokal in 2022 and also gained senior experience with Stuttgart II in the Regionalliga. Cissé transferred to Basel on 30 August 2024, beginning a new chapter in Swiss football. He made his professional debut in Basel’s 1–0 Swiss Cup victory over FC Stade Nyonnais on 15 September 2024. During the 2024–25 season, Cissé was part of the Basel squad that won both the Swiss Super League and Swiss Cup, while his ability to play wider left-sided roles adds versatility.
